Go Light Your World

Why does inspiration for blog posts always seem to come late in the evening?? Seems like so many times I get such great ideas around 9:00, 10:00 or 11:00pm:)
Well maybe not, I guess I did have these thoughts, questions and ideas running through my mind the past week days with what God has been teaching and showing me recently. But it all seemed somewhat jumbled up until now, still is a bit but I seem to have a much clearer idea of what to write.  I've actually got several post ideas in mind right now. I've been wanting to get a post up for a while now. But with all the wedding stuff, moving, Bible schools and everything else I've been somewhat preoccupied:)
I just listened to this song recently and was quite blessed and very challenged by it! Funny how you can listen to a song and it doesn't really mean a lot or touch you at that point and then you can listen to it a couple weeks/months/years later and it can be a blessing/challenge/or can reveal something to you.
Anyway........I hope you're blessed by the song.

Go Light Your World

By Kathy Troccoli
There is a candle in every soul
Some brightly burning, some dark and cold
There is a Spirit who brings fire
Ignites a candle and makes His home

Carry your candle, run to the darkness
Seek out the hopeless, confused and torn
Hold out your candle for all to see it
Take your candle, and go light your world
Take your candle, and go light your world

Frustrated brother, see how he's tried to
Light his own candle some other way
See now your sister, she's been robbed and lied to
Still holds a candle without a flame

Carry your candle, run to the darkness
Seek out the lonely, the tired and worn
Hold out your candle for all to see it
Take your candle, and go light your world
Take your candle, and go light your world

We are a family whose hearts are blazing
So let's raise our candles and light up the sky
Praying to our Father, in the name of Jesus
Make us a beacon in darkest times

Carry your candle, run to the darkness
Seek out the helpless, deceived and poor
Hold out your candle for all to see it
Take your candle, and go light your world

Carry your candle, run to the darkness
Seek out the hopeless, confused and torn
Hold out your candle for all to see it
Take your candle, and go light your world
Take your candle, and go light your world
