China missions trip update.
Here's just a few short updates we've received from the team.
"Thank you for your prayers on our behalf. Five of us are in Beijing now. We all made it through customs with our tracts. Security has been greatly increased. Three of us were made to run some luggage through the ex-ray machine. The customs officials pointed out the bags that had the least of the tracts in them. We didn't volunteer to run our heavy bags through! An official asked me to open one of my bags. It had clothes, books and about 25 lbs. of Tibetan tracts in it. He then asked me to open one of the boxes of tracts. Thankfully, he couldn't read Tibetan and didn't know what they were. Everything made it through! Three team members were delayed in the US and will arrive later. Pray that they make it in with all of their cargo. Thanks." --From my dad
"I'm sorry that I that I haven't been able to give you guys an update sooner. We just got internet access for the first time since we've been here. My team has had it fairly well we have been healthy for the most part. Last night was a long night, we got on a train about 10:00pm and had an hour and forty minute ride with standing room only then spent about 5 hours crumbing in sub-arctic temps than another 20 min train ride to the next town, which was really small, where we spent 30 min using up the rest of the crumbs and then another hour and forty minute train ride, this time with seats, back to our hotel which we got to around 8am. We got to take today off and rest up for the last leg of this first week before we go back to Lanzhou where we will restock and head out for the last week. Tell every one hi and I love yall."
Wow! They've got it kinda tough compered to previous trips. We at least were able to get 2 or 3 hours of sleep before catching the bus the next town.
Here's one we got just a few hours after the first.
"I just got a message from dad. He said he and Brad are doing well. But the police searched there room and though they didn't find anything, they are under watch and are being sent back to Xining. So keep them in prayer. That's all I know right now." --The last two were from my brother.
They seem to have tightened up a lot in Tibetan areas:(
So please keep praying for them and pray that the harvest will be great!!
Keep looking to Christ!!
