Please pray for Elsie
Please be praying for five year old Elise Korzenko. She has had cancer for about a year now. The day before yesterday one of her lungs collapsed.
Here is a note from Paul, Elise's dad.
"Charity and I are FOREVER grateful for all your prayers, love, concern, support.. everything. Look... Elise is very, very, very sick right now. What happened wasn't one or two isolated things but the perfect storm... a literal cascade of events in machine-gun fashion... we still believe we did basically the right thing, and many of our dearest friends will back us up on that. Everyone is praying up a storm, and nevertheless, things get worse... We have sought the Lord's will along. Now it is what it is... We are once again in "the best place we could be", given the circumstances, options, and constraints. We still have hope. It's not over until He says it's over. We have a peace that passes understanding. Please pray for, in order, Elise, Charity, and then me. I am still holding up, and need to be strong and level headed for Charity and decision making. Charity isn't a wreck, but the bond between a mother and her child is just closer, by nature, than a dad and his offspring. So again, don't give up hope or praying for an out and out miracle from our Heavenly Father. How ironic that we were doing everything we could to avoid chemo, and now we almost can't wait till she is "healthy enough" to be able to get that first big dose. We have to dramatically reduse the tumor load in the right lung, and surgery and radiation are not options. Thanks."
